After graduating from Carleton University in 2015 with a degree in Financial Economics, Andrew had a keen interest in becoming an entrepreneur. He decided to first gain experience in various finance-related roles to develop the necessary skills before choosing his path forward.
Andrew’s career began at a bank as a front-end advisor and customer service representative—a client-facing role he enjoyed because it focused on serving and catering to client needs. As his skills progressed, Andrew transitioned to the public sector, joining the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC). Working in their financial literacy division allowed him to help Canadians improve their financial knowledge by creating accessible content and collaborating directly with the financial literacy leader.
Through these experiences, Andrew realized the significant need for Canadians to rely on advisors for financial guidance. This led him back to a client-facing role as an independent financial advisor. In 2017, Andrew began working as a self-employed financial security advisor with London Life’s Freedom 55 Financial division. By 2021, he became a sole proprietor, serving a diverse group of clients—a role he truly enjoys.
Andrew is deeply involved in his community and professional networks:
Vice President of the Stittsville Business Association, where he has served on the board for over three years, previously as Treasurer.
Member of the Financial Planning Association of Canada (FPAC).
Member of the Ottawa Estate Planning Council (OEPC).
He also holds his Canadian Securities Course license and is currently completing his pursuit of the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation.
On a personal level, Andrew is an active individual who loves playing hockey, football, golf, and soccer. He also enjoys traveling and exploring new restaurants in town.
